Our story

Born from the road south.

Nearly two decades of hands-on experience stand behind Morocco Shiny Days, founded in 2017 to create private journeys with greater care, flexibility and personal responsibility.

Before Morocco Shiny Days was a company, it was a way of welcoming people. Oualid was born and raised in Zagora, where palm groves, desert roads and the vast south were part of everyday life—not attractions on a map.

Experience came before the company.

Oualid began working in Moroccan tourism around 2008. Over the years that followed, he worked with different companies and operated many kinds of journeys, from classic routes to more demanding private trips, each with its own standards, pace and way of looking after travelers.

That time on the road became an education no office could provide. It revealed what worked well, where a journey could lose its rhythm and what guests valued most. Just as importantly, Oualid listened to what travelers repeatedly wished had been handled differently: more flexibility, more direct communication, better pacing and a stronger sense that someone was personally responsible for the whole experience.

A company shaped by what travelers asked for.

Morocco Shiny Days was founded in 2017 to put those lessons into practice. The idea was not to create another catalogue of fixed packages, but to design private journeys around the people taking them—where they want to linger, how they like to travel and what they hope to understand about Morocco.

“Nearly two decades of experience inform every journey. Morocco Shiny Days has carried that experience forward since 2017.”

Why Morocco Shiny Days

Every conversation is personal, and every route is considered with first-hand knowledge of Morocco’s distances, seasons and changing landscapes. Accommodation and experiences are selected for character, care and their place within the journey—not simply for a category or star rating.

Long-standing relationships connect us with trusted private drivers, knowledgeable local guides, riad owners and people who open a more meaningful door into their region. Those relationships matter when plans change, when a spontaneous stop is worth making or when a traveler needs something handled quietly and quickly.

Responsibility, from arrival to departure.

Private travel should feel easy without feeling over-managed. Someone on the ground remains responsible for the journey as a whole, while the days retain enough room to respond to weather, energy and curiosity. Our drivers understand the rhythm of the road; our local guides bring history, architecture and living traditions into focus.

Luxury, interpreted differently

For us, luxury is ease, access and attention: the right room, guide and table at the right moment, with details considered carefully and space left for the journey to breathe.

One Morocco. Your version.

We begin by listening. We continue listening while you travel, and we keep learning from every journey we operate. The result is not a package pulled from a shelf, but a Morocco journey carrying our local knowledge and your character.
