Marrakech – Essaouira – Oualidia – El Jadida – Casablanca

This Morocco coastal tour from Marrakech to Casablanca can be used as an extension to the larger main tour or as an independent itinerary for travelers wishing to explore beautiful Moroccan coast north of Agadir.

Day 1 MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA

Leave Marrakech after breakfast to enjoy leisurely scenic drive through the Moroccan countryside as you passing by the beautiful landscapes, wild argan tree groves and villages, watching some camels and goats peacefully grazing in the countryside. You might see tree-climbing goats eating argan fruits and jumping from branch to branch. Make a stop at a local co-op where Berber women buy some argan oil for cooking and cosmetics.
Arrive in Essaouira, formerly called Mogador by Portuguese settlers, just in time for lunch. The time here is yours for exploring at your leisure. Enjoy your lunch at one of many authentic restaurants serving freshly caught seafood with views of the sea. After lunch you might want to visit a city port to photograph candy-colored fishing boats and small fish market right there in the port, explore the Medina and an ancient Portuguese fortress.

Day 2 ESSAOUIRA – Excursions

Essaouira is one of the famous charming Moroccan cites by the ocean, where the air is soaked with salt and filled with screams of seagulls. City with interesting architecture that combines styles of many civilizations and cultures, Essaouira is featured in the game of throne as the port city of Astapor.
After breakfast spend the day continue exploring the Medina with its white washed houses, art galleries, and endless tables of souvenirs, wander around the fishing port, food stalls, Portuguese fortifications and go to Essaouira beach for a long walk.
You can also ask your driver to take you to one of the beaches outside Essaouira or visit a renown winery for a tasting of some reds, whites, and roses wines made with the grapes grown in the spacious vineyard and have lunch there.
Dinner at the riad or on your own.

Day 3 ESSAOUIRA – OUALIDIA – EL JADIDA

Continue your trip from Marrakech to Casablanca by leaving Essaouira after breakfast and arrive in Oualidia for a little break and lunch by the lagoon. The oysters here are known all across Morocco.
Reach El Jadida, the ancient Portuguese city of Mazagan, which is added to the World Heritage List.
