This 15 days private Grand Morocco Tour is a great option to experience all Morocco historic capitals (Rabat, Fez, Meknes and Marrakech), High Atlas Mountains, Erg Chigaga Desert and the Morocco Atlantic Coast from Agadir to Casablanca.
Upon arrival, we will pick you up at the airport. If time allows, you can visit the Hassan 2 mosque. Transfer to Rabat. Accommodation and diner in Rabat will be arrange based on your preference. Time permitting you can explore Rabat medina at your leisure.
After breakfast at your riad you will have your private guided tour of the medina of Sale or Rabat (your choice) with a professor of a local university. We are leave Rabat for Fez after lunch and will make a short-sightseen stop in Meknes. We’ll be arriving in Fez ealey evening. Dinner and accommodation in Fez will be arrange based on your preference
After breakfast you will have the entire day for your private guided tour of Fes. You will be visiting famous splendid koranic medersas, one of the oldest universities in the world, ancient Medina and its souks, Nejjarine Museum, Moulay Idriss shrine, peek inside the Kayraouine mosque, visit Fez renown pottery and metal shops, and leather tanneries
One day is hardly enough to absorb all the wonders of the largest still standing enclosed city You can continue to visit the city by yourselves or spend time relaxing. We can arrange for you to visit the Fez country sides or have a Moroccan hammam and/or massage.
We will start early after breakfast and head to the Middle Atlas, passing through the lush cedar forests and lakes. We will stop to see the Barbary macaques, now largely domesticated. Later on, stop by Ouzoud Falls at lunch time. You can have lunch around the falls or by the lake. We will reach Marrakech late afternoon/ early evening. Dinner and accommodation in Marrakech will be arrange based on your preference
Enjoy your day in Marrakech with a private English-speaking guide. We recommend to visit the Bahia Palace and the medieval El-Badi Palace, and the mausoleums of the Saadi golden dynasty. The small yet very richly decorated Douiria is a fine example of crafts and architecture from two centuries ago. Yves Saint Laurent's Majorelle Garden Majorelle Garden - Jardin Majorelle is also worth a detour.
You will continue to explore Marrakech on your own or me can arrange day excursions/activities for you. You can choose between a cooking class with introduction to Medina's street food, shopping in famous Marrakech Medina souks, visit Marrakesh’s heart, the Jemaa el Fna square, or the other gardens of Marrakech. You can decide to relax in a country club or inside the Riad, or have a coffee/ drink at famous La Mamounia.
We’ll leave Marrakech in the morning and head toward the High Atlas and soon after we will cross at 2160 meters high. Take the off road after the pass and reach the ruined pasha's palace at Telouet. Visit the nearby salt mines and then follow the spectacular Ounila Valley to reach Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Dinner and accommodation will be arrange based on your preference
After breakfast, our trip takes you to discover UNESCO world site Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. We will pass Ouarzazate to then take on the gorges. The scenery from Ouarzazate to Agdz is full of dramatic rock formations. Then we finally reach the Draa Valley, which is best known for its palmeraies before. Besides picturesque Kasbahs and date oasis’s there are other things to see here: the ancient rock carvings at Tinzouline. Once we reach Zagora, we are already almost near the edge of the Sahara Desert. Dinner and accommodation will be arrange based on your preference
Your route today will take you off the bitten tourist track to visit village Amezrou with its old Jewish Kasbah and see the silversmiths at work. You will have a chance to admire a collection of illuminated Korans and other Arab rarities in the historical library of holly village of Tamegroute. Lunch is taken in the remote village M’hamid where the paved road ends and we begin our next part of the tour to the dunes off-road to arrive at the luxury tent camp by sunset. The last part can be done by camel. Dinner and accommodation in a private luxury tent.
Leave the dunes after breakfast and prepare yourself for a fascinating off-road trip through one of the less-touristy areas of Morocco crossing over soft sand, rocks and the bed of Lac Iriki made famous by the Paris-Dakar rally. Arrive at Foum Zguid and have an early lunch by the pool. Stop in Tilouine, the capital of safran and in Tazenakht, a carpet making centre of the area reputed for the quality of its Berber rugs. Arrive in Taroudant known as the "Small Marakesh" in the early evening. Have a well-deserved hammam before dinner.
A relaxing day. Visit of the town - have a walk through the historic part of Taroudant and the traditional bazaar. Enjoy time in the gardens of Salam Palace, owned by a local nobleman Have a calech ride or honey tasting at the local farm. In the afternoon, relax by the riad’s pool and gardens.
Day 13 - TAROUDANT - AGADIR - ESSAOUIRA (4 hour drive). Leave Taroudant after breakfast to arrive in Agadir one hour later. Agadir is likely the most known resort town of Morocco famous for its golf courses, crescent-shaped bay, golden sand beaches and seaside promenade lined with cafes, restaurants and bars. Spend some time on the beach before taking on the Atlantic coast route. Stop by a fishing village and have lunch on the way. Arrive in Essaouira in the afternoon.
Arrive in Oualidia and have lunch by the lagoon. The oysters here are known all across Morocco. Reach El Jadida and have dinner and rest at your hotel. If time allows, visit the Portuguese cistern and quarter.
Leave El Jadida for Casablanca airport. Drop off at the airport. This concludes 15 days private Grand Morocco Tour.
